One reason that people inwardly groan at an Ink-Treader deck (and why it becomes unfun to play) is because there's the obvious thing to do when playing Ink-Treader: use cards that blow up (or bounce) all the creatures. Repeatedly. Eventually it becomes quite silly, as everyone sits there just looking at the empty board every turn. Ink-Treader gets a bad reputation, and deservedly so.
This deck tries to avoid that. I don't remove the board; I play non-destructive targetted spells that "cantrip" (draw a card as an extra effect) off of Ink-Treader a bunch of times. The resultant deck, although "weaker" in a sense, is actually a lot more fun. Well, so far, anyway, as I write this I've played the deck only 2 or 3 times.
• Targetted instant/sorceries that cantrip and do not destroy/bounce
• Animate all the lands/artifacts/enchantments (so I have more targets)
• Ways to skip draws (Words of ...) to help avoid decking
• As a last resort, Lab Man (and Jace Lab Man). Not the preferred way to win, but I'll take it if it happens.
